EAUH 2018 Student Prize
EAUH 2018 Student Prize – Call for Papers (closing date for applications: July 26th, 2018)
The Board of the European Association for Urban History invites postgraduates and current PhD students to submit their conference paper for the EAUH 2018 Student Prize. The Student Prize is open to any registered postgraduate student and current PhD student presenting his/her work in one of the conference sessions.
A jury, consisting of three Board members, will select four papers. In a special Student Round Table at the Rome Conference, the four selected students will present their work, will present their views on the future of urban history, and lead the general discussion. The winner will be announced at the Closing Ceremony.
The EAUH Student Prize and the Student Round Table seek to encourage both junior and senior researchers to rethink key issues such as the urban variable, the impact and meanings of urban space, interdisciplinarity, comparison, the art of relating concepts to method, and issues of heritage and public history. How can we relate to the increasingly policy-driven research agendas in Europe? Will digital humanities change our view of (doing) urban history?
Students are warmly invited to submit their application through their personal page by July 26th.
